La Tejana is an award winning Tex-Mex breakfast taco shop by day and a casual neighborhood cocktail bar by night, offering a mix of classic and contemporary cocktails and bar snacks inspired by owner Ana-Maria Jaramillo's Rio Grande Valley roots (puro pinche 956).

Our cocktail bar is open Wednesday - Saturday from 5 pm - 10 pm. The bar is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. Our bar has a strict 21+ age policy (no kids, it's a bar, no exceptions) and a valid ID is required to enter.  

All upstairs dining room tables, as well as our upstairs high top counter are available for reservations. Our covered outdoor patio, covered outdoor window counter, and indoor cafe counter are all available for walk-ins on a first come, first served basis. All parties of 1-2 will have a time limit of 90 minutes and all parties of 3+ will have a time limit of 120 minutes to honor other reservations.

A credit card is required to book all reservations. No-shows and cancellations less than 2 hours prior to your reservation will be charged $20 per person. Reservations go live every day at 9am for up to 2 weeks. In the event of inclement weather, our outdoor patio and outdoor counter will be closed for seating.

Please note, we only accept reservations for the cocktail bar. Breakfast hours (Wednesday - Sunday from 7:30am - 1:00pm) are first come first served.

Parking can be difficult in our neighborhood, so please plan ahead. We recommend taking a ride share or public transportation. The closest metro line is Columbia Heights on the green line.

Please call us at 202-621-8509 if you are running late. We will hold reservations for 15 minutes before offering the table to walk-in parties. We cannot accommodate parties larger than 6 due to our limited space.
